U.S. Stocks Open Higher as Bank Shares Rebound

U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday, following a recovery in local bank shares led by Western Alliance, amid cautious optimism regarding a potential breakthrough in the ongoing debt ceiling crisis in Washington. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 80.34 points, or 0.24%, to 33,092.48 points at the opening. The S&P 500 index increased by 12.95 points, or 0.32%, to 4,122.85 points. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 45.53 points, or 0.37%, to 12,388.58 points at the opening.
