Russian news agencies reported, quoting Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, that Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the military commander of Eastern Libya, Khalifa Haftar, on Thursday. Peskov stated that Putin and Haftar "discussed the situation in Libya and the region."
