The Free Professions Syndicates in North Lebanon organized a streetball basketball championship at the sports hall in the port city, featuring 7 syndicates: doctors, pharmacists, dentists, lawyers, engineers, topographers, and physiotherapists.
The event opened with the Lebanese national anthem and concluded with a speech by engineer Bilal Al-Mir, representing the organizing committee, in which he thanked "MedGulf" and everyone who contributed to the success of the championship, which is being held for the second consecutive year in an atmosphere of camaraderie, love, and sportsmanship.
He confirmed that today's activity is the starting point for the championships that will be organized by the trade unions throughout this year. The championship cup and medals were distributed to the winners, along with commemorative plaques for the sponsors and supporters.
In the women’s category, the Lawyers Syndicate team placed first, while the Engineers Syndicate team came in second. In the men's category, the Physiotherapists Syndicate team secured the first position, with the Engineers Syndicate team taking second place.
It is worth mentioning that this sports event was conducted under the supervision of referees Bassam Nashaba and Fadel Jaber, with support from the Emergency and Relief apparatus, the port municipality police, and the Gladiators Club.
