Cargill to Stop Exporting Russian Grain

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has been informed by Cargill, a commodity trading company, that it will cease exporting Russian grains starting with the next export season, which begins on July 1.

The Ministry of Agriculture stated in a comment through Reuters that Cargill's withdrawal from the Russian market will not affect the volume of local grain shipments abroad.

They confirmed that the company's assets in grain export will continue regardless of who manages them. According to a report by the daily economic newspaper RBC, Cargill is expected to export 2.2 million tons of Russian grain in the 2022-2023 export season, which represents four percent of total Russian grain exports.
