Title: Raï Receives Patriarch of Syrian Catholics in Diman

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Raï received the Patriarch of the Syrian Catholics, Joseph III Younan, at the summer patriarchal residence in Diman. They discussed shared ecclesiastical matters and preparations for the Roman Synod that will take place next October. They also addressed the situations of the members of both churches and the Christian presence in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, as well as how to "support the Christian presence in the region and continue to bear witness to humanitarian values in light of the difficult circumstances and crises affecting the East and the world."
