The Israeli research center "Alma" confirmed that "Hezbollah has developed its underground capabilities in Lebanon, which include a series of tunnels near the border with Israel." It revealed: "Among the surprises that Nasrallah is preparing for the next conflict are tunnels being dug beneath Israeli settlements or security facilities, and their explosion will cause significant damage due to their immense power."
The center explained: "Because of their underground location, explosive devices in such tunnels create an effect similar to that of an earthquake; therefore, they can destroy an entire settlement or facility." It noted that "there is no concrete information about such tunnels, but it is hard for us to believe that Hezbollah would abandon such lethal capabilities in the next war."
The center added: "Such tunnels could assist Hezbollah's 'Radwan' battalion in controlling areas and settlements in the Galilee."
