Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, met with Saudi Ambassador Walid Al-Bukhari at the Minister's office in Beit Boustros. After the meeting, Al-Bukhari emphasized that "we want Lebanon to be, as it was, a haven for thought and a culture of life, and for its people to enjoy prosperity and flourishing." He stated, "We share the same desire with the international community to see the presidential election constitutional requirement completed as soon as possible." Al-Bukhari also met today with his Spanish counterpart in Lebanon, José María Ferré, at the Saudi Embassy in Beirut. The meeting was an opportunity to review bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, in addition to discussing current Lebanese and regional developments and various matters of mutual interest.
