The Sun reported today, Sunday, that 63-year-old Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson underwent emergency surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer. A spokesperson for the duchess told the Daily Telegraph that Ferguson, who was married to Prince Andrew, received the diagnosis during a routine check-up and successfully underwent surgery. The spokesperson added, "She was advised to undergo surgery, which was completed successfully." They continued, "The duchess is receiving the best medical care and her doctors have reassured her about her condition." The newspaper noted that the author and businesswoman has left the hospital and returned to Windsor with her family.
