How Ramses II Reached Paris?

The wooden sarcophagus of King Ramses II has returned to the French capital, Paris, after nearly half a century, in an exceptional loan for the exhibition "Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs," according to a report from BBC Arabic.

The report stated that the exhibition began its journey two years ago at the Houston Museum in the United States, then moved to San Francisco, and its third stop is in Paris, from where it will transfer to Sydney, Australia. However, the wooden sarcophagus will only be displayed in Paris before returning to Egypt, according to a decision by the Egyptian Prime Minister's office.

This visit marks the second time the sarcophagus has traveled to Paris; it previously traveled with the mummy of King Ramses II in 1976 for treatment after it was damaged by mold. Egypt states that sending the sarcophagus to France this year is in appreciation of the role of French scientists in providing support and assistance in treating the mummy.
