Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov refused today, Wednesday, to comment on "the progress of talks aimed at extending the grain agreement that facilitates the export of Ukrainian grain through Black Sea ports." He stated in a press interview: "Russia's position is well known, and work is underway regarding the agreement," and added: "So, let's wait for the outcome of the negotiations." Moscow threatens to withdraw from the agreement, which is set to expire on May 18 of this month, unless what it calls obstacles to the export of Russian grains and fertilizers are removed.
