The death toll from the sinking of a ferry off the coast of Gabon has risen to 30, while the search for seven missing individuals continues, according to the prosecutor in Libreville. A total of 124 out of 161 people aboard the ferry "Easter Miracle," which carries passengers and goods, were rescued. The ferry was sailing on a route between the capital Libreville and the oil port of Port-Gentil when it sank 10 kilometers from the shore. Prosecutor André Patrick Robuna stated in a televised interview that search operations, hampered by heavy rain, "continued today, and only one male body has been found."
