Earthquake of 6.2 Magnitude Hits the Philippines

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck northern Philippines today, Wednesday, according to authorities. The Philippine News Agency reported that the earthquake occurred in the municipality of Calayan in Cagayan province. The quake, which had its epicenter 22 kilometers northwest of Dalupiri Island, hit the region around 11:35 AM local time (03:35 UTC). There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
