Blinken and Netanyahu Discuss Strengthening Israel's Integration in the Middle East

The U.S. State Department stated today, Thursday, that Secretary Antony Blinken and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed during a phone call the enhancement of Israel's integration in the Middle East through normalizing relations with regional countries. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that Blinken "also discussed broader regional challenges, such as the threat posed by Iran, and emphasized the United States' steadfast commitment to Israel's security and our partnership that has lasted 75 years." They also addressed the need to avoid actions that undermine the prospects for a two-state solution.
