The U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shia, embarked on an adventure exploring Beirut through the sport of paragliding. The embassy commented on the video: "Exploring the natural beauty of Lebanon from above! The U.S. government has supported eco-tourism in Lebanon for years. Now, you can catch a glimpse of Ambassador Shia participating in the 'adventure of a lifetime'." Upon landing, she described the experience as "fantastic… I loved it," adding, "What a privilege to see the world in this way."
