Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen revealed today, Monday, that his country would like to host a summit in July to discuss how to achieve peace between Ukraine and Russia. However, such a summit would require participation from India, China, and Brazil.
The minister, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a European Union foreign affairs council meeting in Brussels, stated, "Initially, we need to make some effort to obtain global commitment to organize such a summit," emphasizing that a peace summit should not only include countries allied with Ukraine.
He noted the importance of building interest and participation from countries like India, Brazil, and China, stating, "It is difficult for me to see Russia participating in such a summit."
He confirmed, "If Ukraine concludes that the time has come for such a meeting, that would be great. At that point, Denmark would of course like to host this meeting."
