Oncologist and chemotherapy specialist Dr. Maxim Astrakhantsev revealed that "vegetables grown with nitrogen fertilizers can stimulate the development of cancer." He explained that "there is a long chain of reactions; first, nitrates from fertilizers enter agricultural products, especially potatoes and carrots. Subsequently, a part of the nitrates in these crops converts into nitrites, which, under the influence of various enzymes in the digestive system, transforms into highly toxic and carcinogenic nitrosamine compounds. Based on this, it can be said that all products can be considered dangerous."
Dr. Astrakhantsev confirmed that "the harm of these products manifests in cases of excessive consumption," noting that "the causes of cancer development are generally related to the excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, due to the presence of ethanol, which is considered one of the most dangerous carcinogenic factors, as well as smoking, and trans fats found in vegetable shortening and the foods made from it, including fast food and desserts."
