Trade sources reported today, Friday, that "Kuwait's Al-Zour Refinery has launched a second tender for fuel oil within a week, having recently resumed spot sales after an approximately eight-week hiatus." It was mentioned that "the refinery is offering a quantity ranging from 120,000 to 150,000 tons of low-sulfur fuel oil for loading between June 3 and 4 in a tender that will close on May 19." The refinery closed its latest tender for low-sulfur fuel oil on May 15 when it offered a similar quantity for loading between May 27 and 28. This tender was the first in over eight weeks amid enhanced refining operations following a partial shutdown. Traders are closely monitoring the Al-Zour refinery's low-sulfur fuel oil tenders as the refinery prepares to become a major exporter of this fuel when operating at full capacity.
