The office of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Al-Mawlawi, denied reports from a deputy on Monday regarding false claims attributed to the Minister of Interior, stating that he had declared in the parliamentary council his inability to conduct municipal and electoral elections. The minister's office said in a statement: "The Ministry of Interior and Municipalities has demonstrated its readiness and ability to conduct parliamentary elections on time." It emphasized that the ministry is logistically and administratively ready as soon as the necessary funding for conducting municipal and electoral elections is secured.
