The White House stated today, Thursday, that Russia's withdrawal from an agreement that allowed Ukraine to export its much-needed grain has resulted in fluctuations in grain prices. White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre mentioned that Black Sea grain initiatives have led to the export of more than 32 million tons of grain to markets in rural areas. She added, "Russia's actions to deprive global markets of such a large quantity of food products will exacerbate hunger in some of the most affected regions of the world, including Africa."
