Pope Francis Promises Ukrainians a Different Future

Pope Francis met with Ukrainians who fled from the war at the eastern border of Hungary today, telling the refugees that the future can be different. He stated that "the expression of compassion towards those suffering from poverty, illness, and pain is an integral part of Christianity, even if those in need are non-Christians." He added, "Even in moments of pain and suffering, we find the courage to move forward when we meet in the name of love; this is the strength that helps us believe that not everything is lost and that a different future is possible."
