The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, in a statement that Minister Li Shangfu will visit Russia and Belarus from August 14 to 19. The statement indicated that during his visit to Russia, he will participate in an international security meeting and deliver a speech. He will also meet with leaders from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In Belarus, he will meet with the country's president and the army commander, and he will visit military departments. China and Russia have strengthened their military relations, conducting joint patrols and military exercises.
