The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced that its personnel have been working since 12:25 PM today to extinguish a fire that broke out in a forest in Hell Valley, Akkar. They pointed out several difficulties they face in managing to extinguish the flames, due to the lack of roads and the numerous slopes that hinder access for firefighting vehicles. The directorate mentioned via Twitter that the wind speed has contributed to the expansion of the fire area.
