Former U.S. President Barack Obama warned current President Joe Biden about the strong challenge posed by former President and Republican rival Donald Trump in the 2024 elections, according to The Washington Post. The newspaper reported that "during a private lunch held at the White House last June, Obama expressed concern about Trump's strengths, particularly his fiercely loyal supporters, alongside the polarization in the United States." Obama clarified that "Biden's political abilities do not worry him as much as Trump's strengths," promising Biden that he would do everything he could to ensure a second term. Biden welcomed Obama's offer, acknowledging that "the election race will be extremely tough," expressing his enthusiasm for receiving support and assistance from senior Democrats, especially Obama, who is considered a leading figure in the party.
