Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein affirmed to his Danish counterpart on Wednesday that Iraq is keen on the security and safety of diplomatic missions, following reports that personnel from the Danish embassy had left the country. A spokesperson for the Danish Foreign Ministry stated that the embassy in Baghdad has been closed for summer vacation since July 22.
