Oil Exploration as an Alternative to Agreement with the IMF?

The economic and financial expert Professor Jassem Ajaka noted that the presence of the company "Total" is an indicator of seriousness and intent to explore, and there is European and French desire to resolve matters in light of Europe's need for gas. He predicted in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon" that investments in Lebanon could reach around two to three billion dollars after joining the oil club if initial results are positive, pointing out that exploration could contribute about 10 to 15 billion dollars to Lebanon, although he clarified that the injection of this amount would not be in one installment. In response to a question, Ajaka emphasized that "oil exploration cannot be a substitute for an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, as reforms remain a priority in investments."
