A source in the Vatican revealed to "Reuters" that a man who visited St. Peter's Cathedral yesterday, Thursday, stripped naked and stood on the main altar of the church, seemingly as a protest against the war in Ukraine. The man had an inscription on his back that included words calling for the rescue of Ukrainian children. The same source noted, "Some wounds appeared on the man's body, which he inflicted on himself with his nails," adding that "Vatican guards handed the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, over to the Italian police." The incident occurred before the church closed on Thursday afternoon.
