Basil: Every Stubbornness Will Be Met with Another Stubbornness

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gibran Bassil, commented on what happened in today's session in a tweet on "Twitter": "Today's session proved, as we said yesterday, that no one can bypass the Christian component in the presidency and that no president can be imposed on anyone. The movement is committed and follows its own convictions only." He added: "Every stubbornness will be met with another stubbornness; there is no solution except through consensus on the program and on the president, without exclusion or trickery. There is no success for any president without an agreed-upon program. Remove the preconditions, as this is not dialogue, and abandon the theories of imposition and challenge, as this is not Lebanon. Let us meet on the document of presidential priorities and names that fit the sovereign, reformist, and salvatory program."
