According to the news channel "Roya," a young man shot a girl at a mall south of Irbid, Jordan, resulting in her injury. The police managed to apprehend the shooter. It was reported that civil defense teams rushed to the scene and transported the girl to a hospital for necessary treatment, without providing details on her health condition. Security forces were present at the site to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
In a statement, the media spokesperson for the General Directorate of Public Security confirmed that a report was received by the Irbid Police Department regarding an individual shooting at a girl and injuring her. The victim was assisted and is currently in stable, moderate condition while the shooter fled the scene. He noted that the identity of the shooter, who turned out to be the girl’s ex-fiancé, was immediately established, and security forces located and arrested him, as well as recovered the firearm used in the crime.
