Turkish Parliament barber, Muhtesem Arslan, announced his candidacy for parliament membership representing the "Justice and Development Party" in the elections scheduled for May 14. Arslan explained that he began his political career in 1984 with the "Welfare Party," stating, "I come from politics and grew up with nationalistic ideals, and my political life continues. Politics does not end because I am a barber. It's good for addressing people's problems, and I hope to become a deputy to tackle their issues."
He continued, "I am at the heart of politics because I have been the parliament barber for 20 years. I started my professional life at the age of 12, and among my clients are a large group of Turkish politicians, including Suleyman Demirel, Bulent Ecevit, and Necmettin Erbakan."
