Lebanese Citizenship for Player Omri Spellman

Omri Spellman has obtained Lebanese citizenship after a decision by the Council of Ministers, and he will officially participate with the Lebanese national team in the upcoming World Cup matches. The naturalization process faced many obstacles due to the vacancy in the presidency, as the naturalization procedure requires the president's signature, which posed a significant barrier. The Basketball Federation recently visited Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, they received a commitment to make every effort to complete the process and naturalize the player needed by the Lebanese national team for the World Cup finals. In its last session, the Council of Ministers brought up the matter off the agenda, and a decision was unanimously approved for naturalization, thus making Spellman a Lebanese citizen, ready to compete in the basketball World Cup, a sport that has brought joy to the hearts of the Lebanese people.
