Russian Parliament Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin confirmed today, Wednesday, that Adam Delymhanov, a senior commander of Chechen forces, is alive and well, following reports of his death or injury in Ukraine. Volodin told members of parliament, "I just spoke with him. He is alive and well. Not only that, but he wishes you all good health." Another Chechen forces commander stated that Delymhanov is in Chechnya, not in Ukraine, asserting that media reports claiming he was shot in Ukraine are all "false," according to the Russian news agency TASS. Delymhanov, a member of the State Duma and commander of the Chechen National Guard division, is widely regarded as the second most senior official in the Caucasus region after Ramzan Kadyrov.
