Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Russian Belgorod region, confirmed today, Sunday, that Ukrainian forces continued to shell the border area throughout the night and into the morning. Gladkov wrote on the Telegram app: "The situation was tense during the night," noting that there was "significant damage in the towns of Shebekino and Volokonovka due to the shelling." Earlier today, Gladkov pointed out that Ukrainian forces shelled a market area in the city of Shebekino, located seven kilometers from the Ukrainian border, without causing any injuries. He added: "The shelling caused fires near the city market and a private area, as well as a grain storage facility. Emergency services are on site."
