Bank of Lebanon Reveals Number of Clients Benefiting from Circular No. 158

The Bank of Lebanon issued a statement indicating the number of clients who benefited from the effects of Basic Circular No. 158, issued on June 8, 2021. By the end of April 2023, the total number of these clients reached 180,976, while the total amount paid to them was approximately $1,778,604,896, of which $889,474,488 was paid in cash, shared equally between the Bank of Lebanon and the banks.
