The Internal Security Forces successfully seized nearly 450,000 Captagon pills that were professionally packaged for export to one of the Gulf countries. Following extensive investigations and surveillance, they were able to identify the shipping company and pinpoint the location of the company's warehouse in the Koukoudie area, where the shipment prepared for smuggling was found. The Information Branch obtained confirmed data about the operation of an international smuggling network transporting Captagon pills to Kinshasa via the Port of Beirut. This marks another strike by the Information Branch against drug trafficking networks in the Koukoudie area, with the seizure of 450,000 Captagon pills intended for smuggling abroad.
