Russian state television aired footage today, Sunday, featuring President Vladimir Putin expressing his confidence in the success of his country's plans regarding Ukraine, in an interview that appeared to be recorded prior to the "thwarted" rebellion of the Wagner private military group yesterday, Saturday.
Putin stated, "We feel confident, and of course we are in a position to execute all the plans and tasks we are set to accomplish. This also applies to the defense of the country, the special military operation, the economy as a whole, and its individual sectors."
When asked in the interview about the time he dedicates to what Russia calls its special military operation, Putin replied, "Of course, this is extremely important; I start and end my day with attention to this matter."
The official television aired these comments in an interview with Kremlin correspondent Pavel Zarubin. Zarubin noted that the interview took place after a meeting with graduates of military colleges and academies, seemingly referring to an event that took place last Wednesday.
