Zelensky: Ukrainian Forces Advance in Counteroffensive

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted today, Saturday, that "Kyiv's forces are advancing in their counteroffensive against Russian forces," rejecting claims from Western officials that "Ukraine is progressing slowly on the ground." Zelensky wrote on the messaging app Telegram, stating: "Ukrainian forces are advancing. Despite everything and whatever anyone says, we are making progress, and that is the most important thing. We are moving." Ukraine has reclaimed over 12 towns in the counteroffensive, which is nearing its third month, but has not regained any major areas, as mines and Russian defense lines hinder the movement of Ukrainian soldiers.
