Member of the "Strong Lebanon Bloc," MP Ziad Hawat, indicated today, Tuesday, that "the armed clashes in Aaqfa every now and then require urgent action to control the situation." He wrote on his official Twitter account, stating: "The army is required to intervene quickly to stop the gunfire, arrest the involved and wanted individuals, and establish military checkpoints at the entrances of the town." He added: "What remains of the state and its institutions are required to protect the people and rights to avoid reinforcing the saying: 'the children of the lady and the children of the concubine.'"
