The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, confirmed today during a meeting with Russian President's special aide, Igor Levitin, in Tehran, that the pace of ending dollar dominance is accelerating in economic and trade exchanges. He stated that reducing the influence of the US dollar in regional and international economic transactions will minimize the dominance of the West over the global economy.
During the meeting, Shamkhani expressed satisfaction with the level and volume of economic cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the adoption of streamlined methods to expedite the implementation of joint economic projects. He pointed out that the ongoing efforts to reduce dollar influence in regional and international exchanges, which many countries are now joining, will significantly diminish Western dominance over the global economy.
Shamkhani also stressed that completing the "North-South" corridor and expanding transit partners between Iran and Russia is an important part of the joint projects between the two countries.
