The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's "Masam" project, aimed at clearing landmines in Yemen, removed 896 mines during the second week of May in various Yemeni provinces. The center stated in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the removed mines included 11 anti-personnel mines, 156 anti-tank mines, 728 unexploded ordnance, and one explosive device. This brings the total number of mines removed in May to 2,029, with the total number of mines disarmed since the inception of the "Masam" project reaching 398,110, all of which were indiscriminately planted by the Houthis across Yemen.
