A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Matthew Miller, indicated on Monday that the arrest of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is an "internal matter," rejecting the notion of taking a stance on the legal issues Khan is facing, despite his frequent criticism of the United States. Miller stated, "Sometimes there are issues (around the world) that are so clearly baseless that the U.S. believes it should say something about them. We have not yet reached that conclusion regarding the (Khan issue)."
