Deputy Mark Daou wrote on the "X" platform: "14 women have been killed by their spouses since the beginning of 2023. This is a reality of the series of crimes against women and daily violence that does not stop in Lebanon, but rather worsens due to the leniency in tightening punishments for the perpetrators. It is a national issue, and addressing it is a collective responsibility; therefore, we must raise our voices, increase awareness, and highlight ways to report incidents and support survivors. The main demand today is action."
