Title: Jordanian Factory Busted for Using Animal Entrails in Sausage Production

The public prosecutor in Ramtha, Jordan, on Wednesday stopped the owner of a factory that sells animal entrails and skins for use in sausage production. The prosecutor interrogated the accused regarding crimes related to the circulation of materials unfit for human consumption under Article (18/c/2) of the Food Law and practicing a profession without a license contrary to the provisions of Article (18/a/1) of the Professional Licenses Law. Security sources reported, according to the Jordanian news agency "Petra," that the Royal Department for the Protection of the Environment seized a factory using animal entrails to produce sausages in Ramtha. The sources indicated the seizure of 3 tons of animal entrails and 5 tons of skins within the establishment, all in poor sanitary conditions.
