The International Doping Testing Agency announced that Uzbek athlete Alexey Fomovski and Filipino athlete Ariana Evangelista, competitors in cycling, failed doping tests during the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Consequently, they have been temporarily suspended and barred from competition. Fomovski (22 years old) was tested on September 28 during a competitive event, while Evangelista was tested out-of-competition on September 24. The International Doping Testing Agency, responsible for drug testing at the current Asian Games, stated that the temporarily suspended athletes can request a second sample test.
