A fatal collision occurred early this Sunday on the western lane of the Zouk Mosbeh - Keserwan highway, in front of St. Sharbel Church. The accident involved a "Cherokee" SUV driven by J.A., a "Peugeot" driven by J.S., and a "Nissan" driven by A.D. (born in 1978), who had his daughters N. (born in 2005), J. (born in 2016), and J. (born in 2015) with him, resulting in injuries of varying degrees to the family.
Red Cross personnel arrived at the scene and transported A.D., N., and J. to Saint John Hospital in Jounieh, while J. (born in 2015) was taken to Our Lady of Maritime Hospital in Jbeil, where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The accident caused traffic congestion on the highway, and the traffic police from Jounieh worked to ease the flow and remove the damaged vehicles from the area.
