U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken indicated today, Friday, that "the United States is working with Ukraine and other allies to reach a consensus on the foundational pillars for a just and lasting peace to end the war with Russia." He added, "Washington will also encourage initiatives from other countries to resolve the conflict, as long as they respect the United Nations Charter and the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Ukraine," noting that "Putin's war on Ukraine is a strategic failure." Blinken stated, "We will support efforts, whether from Brazil, China, or any other country, if they help find a way to achieve a just and lasting peace."
