Russia Imposes Large Fine on Google

A court in the Pershininsky District of Moscow announced today that it has decided to impose a large fine on Google for delaying the payment of previous fines, according to the Russian news agency "Novosti." A post on the website of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia stated: "The Pershininsky District Court in Moscow has ordered Google to pay four billion rubles as a fine for failing to comply with previously imposed fines in Russia." The post added: "The new fine is doubled; in addition to the previous fine, Google must pay four billion rubles to the Russian state treasury as a penalty for not settling the previous fines."
