Arab League: "Forced Transfer" of Gaza Residents is a "Crime"

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, stated that Israel's demand for residents of northern Gaza to move to the south constitutes a "new war crime." He emphasized that "the occupying power is prohibited from directly carrying out forced transfers of populations." Aboul Gheit directed a message to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, urging him to use his political and moral influence to prevent a "war crime" that could be committed by Israel as part of its recent campaign against the Gaza Strip by demanding that all residents of northern Gaza move immediately to the south.
