Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated today, Thursday, that his country has agreed with Bulgaria to enhance cooperation in the field of defense, and he called on Sofia to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. During a joint press conference with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov in Sofia, Zelensky said, "We discussed the military support that Bulgaria is providing to our country. We rely on the continuation of cooperation that has already saved many lives." He thanked his hosts for their support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian forces. Zelensky's diplomatic advisor, Ihor Zhovkva, pointed out that "the two countries signed a statement regarding Ukraine's integration into Western organizations, specifically NATO and the European Union, making Bulgaria the twenty-second country to support Kyiv's efforts to join the alliance."
