The Arab Parliament welcomed the U.S. administration's decision to stop cooperation and all forms of support for projects in Israeli settlements established on Palestinian land in the West Bank, asserting that it is "a step in the right direction to halt support for the unlawful settlements and address the projects established there, which are deemed illegal and represent a direct violation of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in their occupied territories."
It considered that "this decision could represent the beginning of a correct and enforced American approach towards the Palestinian issue, contributing to the cessation of crimes and violations committed by settlers against the Palestinian people," urging the international community to "build on this step."
