RB Leipzig succeeded in securing the last qualification spot for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, finishing as runners-up in Group F. The German representative collected 12 points in the group stage, qualifying for the Round of 16 after a 4-0 victory over Ukrainian side Shakhtar on Wednesday. The "Bleacher Report" network noted that half of the teams in the Champions League Round of 16 are from the Bundesliga and the Premier League. This comes after the German quartet of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt advanced to the next round. The English quartet of Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham also progressed to the Champions League Round of 16. Therefore, there are 8 teams from the Premier League and Bundesliga in the Round of 16 of the Champions League, in addition to other teams from various European leagues: Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan (Italy), Porto, Benfica (Portugal), Real Madrid (Spain), Paris Saint-Germain (France), and Club Brugge (Belgium). It is worth noting that the draw for the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League will take place next Monday.
